Coffee and a Hasselblad

Nancy before LA
I met up with Nancy at a coffeeshop in Ypsilanti, MI a week or so before she left for LA. Every time I have talked to this girl, I have been so impressed by how bold she is in her life choices. I had a roll of film in my Hasselblad and we did an impromptu photoshoot to mark this time in her life.
Fast forward a few months, now she lives in LA and I showed her these photos and asked what the Nancy from this time was thinking about. Here is what she said:
Nervous. Unsure about how I was going to survive with double my normal expenses. Sad to leave my family. There were a lot of emotions and a lot of uncertainty and unanswered questions during that time – but I knew I had to make this leap for myself. Amongst those circling insecurities in my mind, in my heart i needed change and I was hungry to learn more and experience more.
