Like so many people this year, Kasie and Dan’s wedding plans drastically changed because of the pandemic. There is so much I could say about these two, but more than anything, I admire how they are able to navigate whatever comes their way with grace.

Held at Dan’s family home in Michigan, Dan’s father officiated the intimate ceremony with a few close family members in attendance — plus several more friends and family who joined via Zoom. After the ceremony, we ate tacos. It might not have been what Kasie and Dan originally planned, but it was still so special.

I also have to thank Kasie and Dan for trusting me to photograph their wedding entirely on film. I came equipped with a pack of film rolls, a Leica in my hands, and a Hasselblad in my fanny pack. As you scroll through these photos, notice the detail in the skies, the rich green hues, and the preserved skin tones — that’s the beauty of film. I can’t wait to turn these scans into huge prints for Kasie and Dan.

You know that if anyone is getting married in custom jumpsuits, I am 100% here for it. This Prospective Flow jumpsuit has been my go-to while working from home these past few months.

Dan’s brother scouted this barn for a post-ceremony shoot; I had to pretend my Subaru was an off-roading Jeep, but it was a blast.

I leave each and every wedding I photograph feeling incredibly honored to have been part of it, but this day will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Kasie and Dan.
